On The Riddle of Masculinity: Does Wireless Electromagnetic Frequency Assault Torture Inflict, Through Violence, The Cultural Expectations Of Femininity?

Yesterday, I spoke of libidinal and destructive drives tied to what Meltzer and Gregor’s 1988 paper called the “aesthetic conflict,” seeing it as both libidinal as well as one’s innate urge or desire for knowledge oriented towards the “inside” of the maternal body in the primal scene (Perrone & Russo 2008).
Here, I turn towards “The Riddle of Masculinity” by M. Brady to discuss the sexual gender differences between men and women, but more appropriately, between masculinity and femininity. First, it is important to recognize within psychoanalytic literature that there is a triadic relationship between Mother-Father-Self. Thus, the character traits of masculinity and femininity, respective of the mother and the father, are incorporated into the person’s psychological arrangement. Gerald Fogle emphasized both masculine and feminine components of a complete person are vulnerable to symbolic castration. Castration anxiety is universal and arises when any crucial part of this triangular paradigm in life is threatened (Fogel 1988). A person’s masculine and feminine aspects are constructed in powerful defining relationships and embedded in inescapable cultural assumptions, they are also grounded in the person’s actual body and bodily experience.
“Masculine is characterized by outwardness, feminine by inwardness; masculine by precise boundaries, shapes, entities, and definitions, feminine by ambiguity or fluidity; masculine by penetration, feminine by receptivity; masculine by deconstruction and cutting through, feminine by construction, creativity and synthesis; masculine by differentiation and separateness, feminine by containing, groundness, integration, and unification; masculine by representation, feminine by space; masculine by doing, feminine by being. Men, like women, ideally combined mature, well-integrated masculine and feminine modes, grounded in a confident, non-conflictual gender identity and sense of self (Brady 2006).”
With regard to abnormal psychology and the perverse, the masculine tendency to “penetrate,” “deconstruct,” and “cut through” by “obliteration of boundaries” followed by the feminine tendency towards “construction,” “creation,” “integration,” “unification” describes man’s innate and long-term repetition drive to enact War. It also describes the cycle of wireless electromagnetic frequency assault torture. As the deconstruction of one human being, and the raising of a “new” Other, in a type of procreative feminine drive, utilizing wireless electromagnetic frequency assault torture. Melanie Klein suggested that boys suffer from pre-oedipal envy of the female reproductive organs, which she calls sites of “receptivity and bounty” (Klein 1928). Chasseguet-Smirgel (1984), too, argued that Freud’s view of femininity as the product of deficiency, that is, the lack of a penis, might be better understood as the boys need to overcome feelings of helplessness in response to his mother’s power. If the fear is not quieted, it may be consolidated into a reaction formation, the visible evidence of which is the boy’s punishment or denigration of his mother. This preoedipal dynamic may be at the root of the notorious misogyny observed in some men. To continue this line of thought, the paper described “the male fear of sexual inadequacy as intensified now, when cultural changes have led to traditional male turf being partially ceded to women. Perhaps the most striking feature of the male sense of inadequacy is his belief that other men truly possess the macho sexuality he aspires to, making his own endowment and skills appear even more meager. The overstimulation of other male’s potency may have its deepest roots in the small boy’s awe of his father’s superior sexual endowment. At the extreme, some men enhance their self-esteem by dominating, even brutalizing, women (Brady 2006).”
While I have no academic background in the academic study of psychoanalysis or the pre-oedipal psychoanalytic arrangements, there have been several psychoanalysts, whom I have read Neidecken 2016) who have suggested the enigmatic message received stemming from the primal scene (which can include conflicts between the parents - fights and arguments) send an enigmatic message to the boy and/or girl, who, in return, receive these primal scene messages and interprets them, for themselves, and concludes as to what they actually mean.
It has been suggested that boys who do not recover from the sense of genital inadequacy may be destined to suffer lifelong penis envy. It is my opinion, if a boy has a lifelong belief in his genital incapacity, whether he actually has a small penis or not, whether his “smallness” be real or imagined, maybe predisposed to commit acts of violence against women (i.e. sexual assault/beatings) because the penis often serves as a metaphor for power in the world. Males perceive themselves as “more powerful” than females and possessors of higher status, purveyors of greater knowledge, and this gets incorporated into their psyche very early in their life.
On the other hand, little girls perceive themselves as castrated beings, denied a penis, and denied power. Thus, shame, inhibition, and passivity can play into their internal world. Women, identifying with their fissure, imagine their sublime power, and, traditionally, exert their phallic power through the act of childbirth and procreation. To combat these feelings of inferiority, and feelings of “not good enough,” some women will have an affinity towards masculine career occupations. Traditionally, doctors and lawyers were primarily male occupations. This is not so today. Today, we see more women doctors, lawyers, soldiers, police officers, even road workers, construction workers, women in middle-to-lower class, masculine blue collar jobs. We see women in the sports arena as well. Within the realm of women, female potency starts with the ability to attract men, thus, the female rituals of doing their hair, doing their nails, putting on makeup, exercise and diet, shopping and dressing in attractive clothing during adolescence become feminine practices. This, then moves to the ability to attain marital status, and then to birth children successfully, once married. If a female feels she isn’t “smart enough” to make it as “the brains of an operation,” competitive sports work equally for females as they do for men. Thus strength training, aerobic exercise, and wellness become the avenue to secure, not only physical prowess, but her natural beauty, and at the same time, be granted a metaphorical “penis.” Beauty, anti-aging, wellness are forms of superior male strength.
In one study group, “ordinary” heterosexual men were studied, and the researchers saw many issues related to “measuring up,” and, subsequently, in the “measuring.” There seemed to be “a conflation of achievement and of sexual performance and adequacy in these men, which led to issues of measuring up sexually. Wondering questions in the egos of these men were, “Is my penis good enough? Is my penis big enough? Is my penis admirable enough? Is my penis satisfying enough to women? A great deal of these men’s sense of masculinity clustered around relationships with other men. Anxiety teems around themes such as “Am I a man among men? A boy among boys? A boy among men (Brady 2006)?
In an example of how cultural expectations of femininity and the cultural expectations of masculinity differ, I offer the the following example. In my early twenties, as a young promiscuous female, although labeled by men “a whore,” if I were to be compared next to “ordinary” heterosexual men, I would have been considered, in terms of sexual prowess, “A man among men.” It is also note worthy, at this time, I worked full-time and earned an adequate, above average wage. In regards to the paper, “The Riddle of Masculinity,” this “measuring-up” is a crucial finding because what the researchers involved in this paper discovered was that the line between competition and violence is sometimes hard to draw. The paper disagreed that male aggression by and large causes conflicts, and instead emphasized that belief systems (i.e. ideologies) are the source of the greatest conflict that men and countries coalesce around. I would have to agree with this because ideologies that surround theclabeling women as “a whore,” do not apply to men. Sexual prowess seems to be one way men evaluate their manlihood, power, and strength.
Although, in the study group of “ordinary” heterosexual men, the term “diminution anxiety” and or “put down anxiety” was desired instead of castration anxiety because castration anxiety seems to elicit the image of “actual destruction of body parts and organs.” The term castration anxiety actually elicit images of literal damage to, and destruction of, male sexual organs. This, does in fact occur, as an example, in situations of torture. As a method of mind control, and actual castration, men can tap into this level of male anxiety by trying to destroy, not just manhood, but selfhood when torturers threaten to disfigure a man’s genital organs. These torturers arouse in their victims, not just anxiety for the intactness of the penis and testicles, but such fearful questions as, “Who can protect me? What kind of unfairness in the world, or indifference of God, allows such things?” The advertising campaigns for erectile dysfunction drugs like Viagra and Cialis attest concerns of men that they be properly erect when required (Brady 2006).
In terms of femininity, for women, the literal damage to female sexual organs does not necessarily have to occur. In situations of torture, the female body, as a sex symbol, involves the whole physique of the entire body (boobs, waist, hips, buttocks, face). To tear down, rip a part, destroy, annihilate, and diminish, in any way, the female body, is akin to phallic castration of the male penis (superiority and strength). The area of literal damage concerning the face, when damaged, is the symbolic equivalent of repudiation and rejection of the individuals identity. Aesthetics are hardwired in the human brain. We like beautiful things. Beauty and aesthetics are closely tied to female identity and feminine narcissism. To prohibit a woman from active aerobic exercise, is too, directly involved with her phallic superiority (facial beauty, health, and wellness with a well-maintained body with which to attract the male gaze). Hydration (water) combined with cardio exercise improves youthfulness of body and skin and is a natural defense against aging. Women and men who purposefully inflict pain and suffering into another female for the purpose of thwarting her exercise and anti-aging regimen, in my opinion, are EVIL. In a man’s search for his “mother-surrogate,” it is the female body that is imagined and used to hold, contain, and caress the man. To attempt to obliterate the female body is an attempt to obliterate the mother.
In the second group of men that were researched, men who were married with long-term mistresses, an interesting psychoanalytic insight was discovered. In this group of men, there was “a greater fear of feminization, infantilization, or becoming “neutered” were they to give up their mistresses. Here, we see the active, continually erect and potent penis is needed as a guarantor of immortality, of not being extinguished or forgotten. No number of successful projects, publications, or inventions suffice to address the dread of being relegated, and hence forgotten (Brady, 2006).” In this group of men, greater power to the women/mother, and more helplessness to the boy/child. “The result is, that in fantasy, the woman/mother is given the power to grant invulnerability and immortality to the boy/child. The mother’s power to humiliate is also seen as commensurately greater … as the power to reduce and enslave (Brady 2006).”
With regard to wireless electromagnetic frequency assault torture contributing to the cultural expectations of femininity, I defer to the following quote from the paper, “The Riddle of Masculinity”:
“If sexuality first develops in the relatively dependent, helpless child, it is unlikely the child will ever be totally free of submission - dominance connotations. Liberation from the power contaminants do not reside in the biological nature of sex, or exclusively in cultural and political arrangements, and certainly not in sex difference, but rather in the universal condition of infantile dependency.”
For me, my experience with this abusive technology, this means that the person issuing forth the wireless electromagnetic frequency assault torture controls the means in which to make me “completely dependent on HIM/HER.” Because HE (in the masculine paradigm) holds the power to exact punishments that are crippling via wireless electromagnetic frequency assault torture. If I want a reprieve or respite from the torture, I must go to HIM (in the masculine paradigm). HE is the owner of my body and mind, at any given time of the day or night, and I am no longer free in this world.
In regard to “The Riddle of Masculinity,” in boys rank, order, size, and strength loom large but in adolescences the importance of being smart emerges, thus castration can have a different meaning. Boyhood feelings of of weakness can be worked out in academics.
Another interesting psychoanalytic fact is the gender-bending prominent in the media, it is much more evident on the East and West coast than in the center of the country. These trends are disturbing to Middle America, and are part of the ideological drive represented by the so-called red and blue states. Also of importance is the way cultural expectations can limit us and emphasize the importance of the liberation movements of the last century in the areas of race, gender, and homosexuality. It’s important to separate psychological conflicts based on particular childhood experiences from real cultural prohibitions that have limited individuals development as full human beings (Brady 2006).
I might also add, the use of wireless electromagnetic frequency assault torture should be considered as a form of cultural prohibitions that limit individuals capacity to develop as full human beings, to be used as integral parts within their society.
In the paper, researchers noted that narcissism, phallic narcissism, and humiliation, as well as men’s relationships with women including their mothers, were recurrent themes. I might add, that with regard to wireless electromagnetic frequency assault torture narcissism, phallic narcissism, and humiliation as well as men’s relationship with women including their mothers maybe the unconscious on analyzed elements contributing to the problem with this abusive technology.
